City of Hope Bible Institue
Ext. 289
The City of Hope Bible Institute offers a structured three-year
diploma program in which students will learn direct from 32 prominent
scholars who have taught at some of the most famous Bible colleges,
seminars and universities. Courses are taught in 13 week semesters:
Old Testament subjects include: The Pentateuch, Early Israelite
History, The Kingdom Period, The Post Exilic Period, Old Testament
Literature, Major Prophets, and the Minor Prophets. The New Testament
is taught in four semesters. Other subjects are: Great Doctrines
of the Christian Faith, The Life of Christ, Biblical Prophecy, Personal
Evangelism and Church History.
Discipleship Ext. 161
The purpose of the ministry is to prepare maturing Christians and
potential leaders in the church to spiritually develop and master
their lives so that they may effectively perfect other Christians.
This is done through a 12 week intense discipleship training for
ages 6 months through adult held in the Spring and Fall each year.

New Members Ext. 158
This ministry works with those who have newly accepted Christ as
their personal Savior and those already in the Body of Christ who
have recently made Hopewell their Church Home. The mission is to
lovingly, and compassionately lead individuals to a clear understanding
and confession of the Word of God in order minister salvation, restoration,
baptism (in the Holy Spirit), and church membership. Orientation
consists of 4 classes. New Members Graduation Celebration is held
quarterly. Orientation training is a pre-requisite for working in
any ministry of Hopewell.
Sunday School Ext. 160
Teaching practical application of Biblical principles in our daily
lives. Meets Sundays at 10:00 am. Adult classes are held in Faith
Hall and classes for children and teens are held in the Educational
Wing classrooms.

Ambassadors for Christ

Interdenominational evangelical outreach to help homeless and underprivileged
men by witnessing the Gospel, giving free haircuts, clothing, food,
furniture, assist with finding employment, housing, transportation.
Work with several area churches to gather clothes, food, money,
and furniture and assist the men at the Atlanta Union Mission.
Disaster Relief Ext.

Works with families in the church and surrounding community following
catastrophic disasters (fire, tornados, flooding, etc.) Provides
resource information and training for those who have been called
to this ministry.

Coordinates campus job fairs, works with local employers
and the state Department of Labor to place qualified candidates
in available positions. Works closely with the Hope for the Future
program to assist in resume consultation, interviewing skills, etc.

body through a business bulletin and business expos. Provide training
and distribute educational materials to business owners and future
business owners as well as to direct them to various resources available
to small business owners.

Local and foreign outreach for spiritual, physical and educational
needs. Foreign outreach works continually in preparation for foreign
aid and then takes the Gospel along with food, clothing, materials,
etc. to the under privileged in the local community and to foreign
countries. Foodstuffs, clothing and other donations are received
at the Global Community Outreach Center.

Substance abuse ministry that teaches deliverance from addiction,

Teach, train & encourage unmarried saints to be spirit filled;
do the work of Christ & edify the church; receive sound biblical
instruction and learn how to develop healthy relationships as they
walk in wholeness. Monthly spiritual growth meetings and monthly
social along with conferences, forums and rap sessions are held
throughout the year.

Men of Faith Men's Ministry

Minister to men of Hopewell regarding being a Christian and addressing
issues of manhood and brotherhood. Sponsor church activities such
as: Father/Son Picnic, Father/Daughter Banquet and the annual Men’s
Day services. Every adult male member of Hopewell is a member of
the Men of Faith Men's Ministry.
Marriage Covenant Ext.

The goal of this ministry to aid in strengthening the family unit
by promoting healthy and wholesome family dynamics. A nation is
only as strong as its family structure. It is our hope to help repair
the breach so that our families will exemplify Christ in the earth.
Sponsor trips, seminars, conferences i.e., family life marriage
conferences, and the marriage re-affirmation service & family
nights. Childcare services are usually available.
Pre-Marital Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to provide Godly pre-marital group

and wise women. Provides spiritual and social fellowship amongst

and the annual Women’s Day service. Every adult female member
of Hopewell is a member of Women of Hope.

Fellowship for those 40ish and over, married and unmarried through
social outings, trips, potluck dinners, social and economic seminars
in addition to Bible Studies, seminars, programs and entertainment
as well as a book-of-the-Month Club.

Responsible for the teaching, training and functioning
of music throughout the entire church body. A vehicle of evangelism
whose expressions are embodied within various musical idioms: Psalms,
hymns, anthems, spirituals, traditional and contemporary gospel
music, and melodies and rhythms of African origin.

Taping the services of Hopewell for distribution, reaching the saved
– who can always use a fresh anointing; the lost – who
need our Savior Jesus Christ; the sick and the shut-in-who need
the Word brought to them; the incarcerated-to offer hope by the
LOVE of God’s Word.

for hospital stays and funerals, assist those who cannot get to
their doctor’s appointment, assist with transportation or

The purpose of the Fitness and Wellness Center ~ Adult Social Room
(HFWC) is to provide creative and meaningful activities for members
in a Christian environment. This program is an integral part of
the total ministry of HMBC and seeks to compliment, under gird and
strengthen all ministries, organizations and auxiliaries. Emphasis
will be placed upon leading individuals to our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ, and helping Christians grow and mature in their faith.

The purpose of the ministry is to encourage with compassion, offer
help and hope to those who are grieving the loss of loved ones by
centering on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to promote guidance
and healing as one walks through their journey in grief.

To minister, teach, and preach the gospel of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through biblical principles, personal
testimonies, retreats, drama, dance, fun outings, life application,
quiet time, Bible study, praise and worship, and fasting and prayer.
To fully equip our youth in the area of Outreach Ministry, and imparting
in them a desire to seek out others who may be in need and render
support. Showing them that by helping and praying for others who
may be less fortunate we are doing God’s work. Age appropriate
training available for children 1 year old through 18 years of age
through nursery, Children’s Church and Teen Church.
