Received 501c3 from (I.R.S.) March 2000
The City of Hope Community Development Corporation exists as a
beacon of hope that furthers and elevates the quality of life in
the surrounding community. This faith based organization demonstrates
compassion for humanity and devotes its’ efforts to the uplift
of citizens of the Atlanta metropolitan community. As a community
development organization, the City of Hope C.D.C. promotes education,
economic and social development as well as community empowerment.
Educational Development
- To provide educational opportunities for children and youth
- To provide literacy and creative educational initiatives among
adults
- To provide career development and job training programs
Economic / Social Development
- To provide a safe and supportive environment for youth
- To provide programs for the enrichment of senior citizens
- To provide life skills programs for individual and families
- To foster conditions of economic and social justice by local
participation, mobilization of community resources, and raising
citizens awareness of their ability to influence their own future
Community Empowerment
- To develop and foster programs and enterprises that provide
employment opportunities and lasting financial planning skills
- To actively engage community leaders, residents, business leaders
and others in planning, and evaluating community development projects
- To develop and rehabilitate affordable, moderate and low income
housing in and around the Atlanta metro area
